Unique Lamborghini to be auctioned in USA

August 20, 2021

REGNUM Auction house RM Sotheby's is preparing for auction a unique 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 S. This was reported on the website of the organization.

The seller plans to raise from 1.8 to 2.2 million dollars for this copy (about 131.5 - 160.8 million rubles). Bidding will take place on August 14 in Moterey (California, USA).

The car left the factory conveyor half a century ago. At the same time, the car was not used for 40 years. The first owner of the model was a 19-year-old student at the University of California.

Since sanctions were imposed on the country in those years, her parents could not transfer money to her for education and living. To get around the sanctions, they used a simple scheme: they ordered a car in the US specification and paid for delivery. The daughter had to immediately sell the car and live on the funds received. However, the girl kept the car for herself. After two years of exploitation, she had an accident.

After 40 years, a team of experienced craftsmen restored the machine. It took eight months to recover.

Recall that Lamborghini will release the last car with an internal combustion engine by the end of the summer of 2021.
